About MeIn 2019, I became an Associate Professor at Simon Fraser University's School for International Studies. I joined SFU as an Assistant Professor after completing my Ph.D. in Sociology at Brown University in May of 2012. I also hold an M.P.P. from Harvard's Kennedy School, where I studied political economy of development. Currently, I live in Vancouver, BC in Canada. Among my fascinations are the ways in which social movements and advocacy groups in Brazil, India, and Indonesia have used a variety of democratic politics to alter health and social development outcomes during recent decades.
